The Eye Care Council is a preventive health care organization providing innovative education about vision care. The Council consists of optometrists dedicated to improving and preserving vision through public education.
The Council was formed in 1991 by the Kansas Optometric Association to carry out the objective of educating the public about the importance of regular preventive vision care and about the warning signs of vision problems. Today, optometrists from around the country participate in the Eye Care Council's award-winning See To Learn® Program for children and the SEE TO WORK® Program to educate employers and their employees about vision care issues in the workplace.
The Council has established a toll-free information line that can provide callers with vision care information or referrals to participating optometrists in their communities.
